In March, we completed the installation of a sorting line at Sady Doliny Noteci in Jeziorki. This time, the investor was the company Sady Doliny Noteci, whose activities focus on the trade of fruits and vegetables, natural juices, and honey. The company cooperates with a 120-hectare fruit-growing farm, one-third of which is apple orchards. Our line was designed for sorting these fruits.
The investor decided to A 4-lane, bowl-type sorting line for a performance of up to 9 t/h, with aqueous discharge, equipped with sorting software featuring a vision system. Fruit sorting is carried out according to the apple's weight, size, and colour. The line has been fitted with a tipper robot and chain conveyors for feeding full crates and collecting empty ones.
Two NSJ-2 bin fillers and five SPR-4 return packing tables were used for apple packing.
Additional solutions chosen by the investor include central collection of Class 2 fruit and packaging from packing tables. Downtime has been minimised thanks to a design adapted for transporting cartons from the mezzanine to the table tops. Operators do not have to stop working to restock cartons for fruit packing on the production line. The line also features a fruit counter for counting and packing into MLO bags.
